Who is Baby Sharn? Today, many may describe her as the latest product of the DMV area’s own super producer, Judah. But, please don’t allow yourself to believe that she’s just now beginning her career. She’s been penning rhymes since the age of 10, after her father was shot and killed in the drug ridden city streets. Her rhymes are so promising that she was able to garner production work from Georgia Anne Muldrow (a producer that has done work with Mos Def). “The Deferment” is a prequel to “Sallie Mae” and includes 5 tracks produced by an assortment of producers including Muldrow. Objective: A behind the scenes look of the second Indie Life Concert Series. Includes mic check session and an interview with rapper, Freeway. Freeway, who is best known for his time with Roc-A-Fella Records is currently producing music under G-Unit Philly and Diamond in the Ruff Records. In the interview Freeway speaks on his experiences as an independent artist and development of his upcoming project Diamond in the Rough. The night included performances by Freeway, SmCity, Kingpen Slim, and Black Cobain.
